Job Description

Description

The Gait Lab Technician Assistant will support patients throughout the course of their evaluation including assisting with transfers providing instructions for testing obtaining consent and securing patients in the safety harness system. Additional responsibilities include serving as backup support for the Movement Disorders Lab during the primary technician assistants absence. This role also involves setting up and connecting patients to electrodiagnostic equipment for various studies as well as preparing botulinum toxin with appropriate dilution as directed by the provider.

The Electroencephalographic Technician Assistant supports the Clinical Neurophysiology Technologists at Mayo Clinic by preparing patients for electrographic studies and performing such other tasks that are necessary for patient comfort and safety while the patient is being evaluated in the Department of Neurology.



Qualifications

The minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or GED. Additional work experience in a patient contact health-care area is desirable.
Ability to adhere to policies and procedures alertness interaction versatility coping and commitment to task.
