Job Description
Would you like to do cutting-edge legal work and help Amazon launch new devices and services If so we have a job for you! We are looking for a talented attorney to support our rapidly growing and evolving Devices business.
Key job responsibilities
You will serve as the primary lawyer responsible for a broad range of matters including product counseling data management artificial intelligence development marketing and privacy. You will work directly with the business providing day-to-day input on business and strategy and serving as counsel on strategic issues. You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative business-centric ways and you will build processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.
- 2 years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- Ability to demonstrate great judgment even in ambiguous situations
- Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
- Ability to build rapport with and earn trust of business partners
- Excellent organizational skills ability to manage multiple projects at once follow through and meet deadlines
- Strong written and oral communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $195700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
