Ford Motor Credit Company is modernizing its legacy Platforms to transform the business and unlock and unleash the power of data for improving customer experiences regulatory compliance & operational efficiencies. We run and sustain mission critical applications during the modernization program.
We are looking for a Sr. Engineering Manager to join FC India Data Engineering team. In this role you will help ensure run sustain maintain & modernize mission critical applications support modernization initiatives create solutions and guide engineering teams to implement solutions on appropriate platforms. This role will provide engineering leadership to maintenance teams in India with key responsibility of supporting applications globally. This role will also drive business adoption of the new platform and sunset of legacy platforms.
Responsibilities
- He should be able to drive and mentor the team technically.
- Manage the team of engineers and will be responsible for the delivery.
- Able to do stakeholder management.
- Excellent in communication and presentation skills.
- He should be able to scope the problem statement Identify solution options and present it to stake holders
- Ability to implement solutions Hands-On
- Work with business partners to understand the problem statement translate the same into solutions.
- Understand the process of SDLC
- Should be able to use JIRA expertly
- Should understand the application maintenance process including raising tickets and solving for the same
- Collaborate with data engineers solutions architects application engineers and product teams to analyse design and implement solutions.
- Understand complexity of business processes current application landscape and create modernization roadmaps
- Lead creation and management of Application integration models GCP infrastructure provisioning and DevOps pipelines
- Provide architectural guidance for optimal solutions considering regional Regulatory needs.
- Provide solution assessments on technical solutions and make recommendations that meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standard.
- Provide advisory and technical consulting across all initiatives including PoCs product evaluations and recommendations security architecture assessments integration considerations etc.
Qualifications
Hands-on experience designing building and deploying applications based on Mainframe WebSphere Angular DB2 Struts JSP JSF Javascript
Google Professional Cloud Architect certification is a big plus.
10 years of relevant work experience in managing teams Application Maintenance & Modernization with good understanding of cloud hosting concepts and implementations.
5 years experience in Application Development and Maintenance.
Experience in migrating legacy applications to Cloud platforms and business adoption of these platforms for Automotive Lending Banking and Insurance
