About the role

In this role you will collaborates closely with the Financial Controller to deliver high-quality accounting reporting and analytical support to the Finance team and its leaders. By ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and contributing to the successful implementation of the ERP system this position plays a vital role in driving financial efficiency and strategic decision-making.

Duties

  • Assist the Finance team in financial reporting year end audit preparing journal entries based on operational data from financial and non-financial systems generating reports maintain the fixed assets register update the property register for AASB 16 workings and prepare leasing journals.
  • Assist with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation
    data analysis testing and providing insights for key system configuration including internal process change management during and post ERP implementation.
  • Review and understand the Finance transactional data flow and processes in place and support the Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable and Payroll functions with process improvements data analysis reconciliations and other ERP implementation requirements.
  • Update and publish month end reports using Power BI Excel and Internal Financial reporting systems including investigations of any variances between the systems and GL.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the operating environment and financial systems and financial priorities by maintaining close connection with direct manager Finance leaders and the wider Finance team while proactively partnering with key stakeholders in the assigned areas.

Skills and Requirements

  • Qualified CIMA/CA/CPA.
  • Demonstrated experience in Financial Accounting Financial data analysis and Stakeholder management experience.
  • Strong system skills involving multiple systems including ERP & Microsoft products and experience building reports in Power BI.
  • ERP Implementation experience.
  • Proven ability to successfully build and manage relationships.
  • Experience in Not-for-profit sector is highly desirable.
