About The Opportunity
The Thiess Cadetship Program provides a pathway into professional Technical Services roles across our projects. We support employees to study part-time whilecontinuing towork full timegaining real hands-on experience working in a functional technical reimburse the costs of studyfees uponsuccessful completion of each course.

Additional support will be provided through programs including the Thiess Graduate Advisor Program Graduate Development Modules and Graduate Mining Education Series.
Our cadetships program is currently offered for disciplines including mining engineering survey andother technical disciplines (on a case by case basis). Each agreement is tailored to the applicants individual circumstances and field of study but nominally four years duration if completing a two-year associate degree part time. At least two rotations in different roles projects and functions related to their discipline of study will be offered.
About You
The following outlines the list of eligibility requirements that a candidate must meet to be considered for a cadetship with Thiess:
- Locally based applicants family members and existing employees will be highly regarded.
- Meet prerequisite conditions to enrol in relevant tertiary degree.
- Existing students may recruited directly into the program.
- Enrolled as a part-time student in
- an AusIMM recognised Bachelor Degree or Associate Degree in Engineering (Mining)
- Queensland A Surveyors Board of Queensland (SBQ) recognised tertiary study program Surveying South Wales - A Board of Surveying and Spatial Information (BOSSI) recognised tertiary study program Surveying ) Australia A Department of Mines Industry Regulation and Safety recognised tertiary study program Surveying enrolment in chosen course of study and the ability to maintain a passing grade or higher
- Intention to continue working for Thiess post cadetship program for at least one year
- Able to demonstrate commitment to Thiess shared group principles of Integrity Accountability Innovation and Delivery
