Role Description
Were seeking a full-timeSenior Mechanical Engineerto join our team on-site inLas Vegas NV. In this role youll design develop and test mechanical systems for cutting-edge electro-optical products. Youll work closely with cross-functional teamsincluding Electrical Optical Firmware and Manufacturingto bring innovative concepts from design through to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for EO products.
- Perform structural thermal and dynamic analysis using FEA/CFD tools.
- Create 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Support system integration and testing of mechanical and electro-optical assemblies.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability.
- Contribute to prototype builds reviews and iterative development cycles.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with5 years of experience or Masters with3 years. A Ph.D. is a plus.
- Proficient inSolidWorks(3D modeling) andAutoCADor equivalent 2D drafting tools.
- Strong experience withFEA CFD and simulation tools for mechanical analysis.
- Solid understanding of materials tolerancing and mechanical design principles.
- Experience designing formachining additive manufacturing or other production methods.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills with the ability to also work independently.
- Experience withelectro-optical systemsormilitary/aerospace R&Dprojects is a strong plus.
- U.S. Citizenship is requireddue to the nature of our government contracts.
