Associate Designer
What will you do
A day in the life of an Associate Designer at Dickies looks a little like this.
The Associate Designer will support the creative vision design strategy and execution across our Global mens and womens product categories. This role requires a creative individual with a background in apparel design and a keen understanding of market trends and consumer needs. The Associate Designer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality price/value functionality and style. This role reports to the Sr Design Manager Mens and Collabs.
Lets break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
Execute design strategy of functional and trend-relevant womens product that align with the brands vision and business objectives.
Develop a strong understanding of the market to identify opportunities and threats stay up to date on industry trends consumer trends and competitor activities; conduct market research and trend analysis to stay ahead.
Ensure all designs meet quality price/cost fit and functional standards with a priority on considering cost and manufacturability.
Support the GTM process and ensure effective inputs and outputs.
Maintain design decks tech packs and other documentation to ensure clear communication and execution of design concepts.
Foster a creative and collaborative work environment contributing to the development of the design team.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
Present design concepts and collections to key stakeholders.
Continuously analyze the category and evaluate design changes needed to improve efficiency relevance profitability and commercial viability.
What do you need to succeed

Additionally while formal education in a related field is great to have we are most interested in your 1-2 years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
Emphasis on brand and product storytelling through product design and retail design
Utilize a variety of design elements to articulate high-level impactful artistic vision
Strong presentation skills
Knowledge of casual apparel design and functional product innovation
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
Ability to use 2D/3D software including Sketch Up AutoCAD KeyShot PhotoShop InDesign Illustrator and Keynote
Detail-oriented
1-2 years of design experience

$60480.00 USD - $75600.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan sales incentive orcommissionpotential.
