Job Description

Position Summary :

The Quality Process Engineer will be responsible for evaluating and improving production processesto enhance quality efficiency and compliance. The role requires working closely with production teams to optimize the bimetal manufacturing process identify root causes of issues develop corrective/preventive actions and ensure adherence to quality standards and safety norms.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Investigate quality issues and develop robust corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Conduct trials and tests for improvement ideas and present results for implementation.
  • Collaborate with senior management to finalize solutions and ensure timely execution.
  • Maintain process documentation including quality control procedures and test results.
  • Act as a process expert in new product and new line development projects.
  • Train and support production teams on quality systems and continuous improvement practices.
  • Ensure strict compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Result Areas (KRAs)
  • Monitor and reduce reworkand scrap rates.
  • Improve raw material usage efficiency.
  • Maintain strong coordination with production maintenance NPD and tooling teams.
  • Apply lean tools and structured methodologies (FMEA 5M etc.) to drive process excellence.
Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills
  • Sound understanding of mechanics bonding and basic electrical concepts.
  • Exposure to metal joining technologies and processes like rolling slitting flattening or annealing.
  • Proficient in problem-solving tools: FMEA 5-Whys Lean Manufacturing.
  • Strong troubleshooting analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint).

  • Hands-on workshop-oriented mindset with the ability to respond quickly.
  • Team player with strong communication and interdepartmental coordination skills.
  • Proactive responsible and resilient under pressure.
