Suffolk County Council (SCC) delivers the 0 - 19 Healthy Child Service for the whole of Suffolk which includes School Nursing Health and Childrens Centres Family Nurse Partnership Services and our Health Business Centre.
This is an extremely exciting time to join School Nursing in Suffolk as we have invested heavily in our school nursing provision increasing our staffing capacity to deliver the Healthy Child Programme. This additional resource will enable early identification of the needs of children and young people aged 5 to 19 (up to 25 for SEND) within and outside of a school setting.
You will work with children and young people individually and in groups to promote healthy lifestyles and resilience and improve public health outcomes.

The team
Our teams are based throughout Suffolk and have a key role in delivering the Healthy Child Programme and supporting the health needs of school-age children and their families through a public health approach.
We aim to promote health and wellbeing in order that each individual child is able to maximise their potential.
