Meeting Street is currently looking for a full time Learning Specialist for 40 per week.
Duties:
- Implement an academic support program for students in grades K-8. Focus will be on study skills executive functioning training and content-driven work.
- Provide intervention and remediation for students in need of academic support.
- Support teachers in implementing necessary accommodations and differentiated instruction.
- Work with students families and outside professionals to better support the needs of our students.
- Work 1:1 with students to develop study skills taught in the context of a students coursework that addresses a students learning needs and leads to independence.
- Interpret evaluations write learning profiles and oversee the implementation of recommendations and accommodations for students with a diagnosed learning difference.
- Develops lesson plans and instructional materials that consistently contain diverse content throughout the academic year.
- Demonstrates concepts and strategies using models talk reflective writing and other available resources including technology
