EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from high school.Responsible work experience which demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Three (3) yearsof clerical experience two (2)years of whichshall have been in account record keeping work.
Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices; office practices and procedures; grammar spelling and word usage; filing methods and systems; use of standard office machines. Such experience must have also demonstrated the ability to maintain fiscal accounts and records; detect errors in posting and calculations; prepare financial reports and statements; interpret fiscal records and data; work harmoniously with others; etc.
Substitution: An Associate degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of clerical experience and up to one year of account record keeping experience. A Bachelors degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university will substitute for all of the required experience.
