ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is the worlds largest humanitarian agency working to create a world with zero hunger.

The Private Partnerships Division (PSP) is responsible for engaging the private sector (corporations individuals foundations) through high-impact partnerships in support of WFPs strategic priorities and through individual giving to build and retain support from the general public worldwide. PSP has embarked on an exceptionally ambitious new strategy 2020-2025 to raise an additional one billion dollars for hungry or malnourished people and to expand the contribution to WFP from the business sector through effective and sustainable long-term partnerships as well as from private individual supporters around the world. This includes securing new high impact technical partnerships signing significant new corporate deals and growing existing relationships as well as building a base of one million individual supporters. Our strategy and ambition are based on need. WFP was reaching more than 90 million people in 83 countries and we now know that we will be called on to reach many millions more as a result of the pandemic.
Joining PSP is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals to co-develop and implement our new private partnerships and fundraising strategy.
PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT
The position is part of the Individual Giving team and will manage and optimize the impact and results of WFPs portfolio of global partnerships with international and national businesses.
The Technology Lead will collaborate closely with individual giving team IT division and Communications division of WFP.
ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
technical development and support to CRM platform integrated fundraising platform payment systems marketing reporting tools (including data warehouse) ensuring the systems are up and running.
with the implementation partner(s) to improve efficiency and reliability of the tech stack act as a Product Ownerin agile teams with external supplier.
development projects execution quality and scope specifically (but not all inclusive) for the tasks related to the development of templates automatic tools quality assurance and usability.
the high quality of the IT solution covering all aspects such as: functionality user experience and compliance with applicable guidelines (architecture security technology stack user interface etc.
for continuous improvements ongoing enhancement and extend the use of the applications to better exploit the functionality of the holistic platform.
and compile a rationale for selection of new technologies to support Individual Giving process.
document and update data model and related documentation as the tech infrastructure evolves.
and advise on best practices in digital fundraising from technology point of view.
external companies providing current IT systems maintenance services.
user testing user training and go live during deployment and implementation.
the IT solution upon inception in accordance with the relevant guidelines for solution registration and keepingall related information (such as lifecycle status and focal points) up-to-date and fully available for review.
the IT solution adheres to all relevant procurement legal and technological requirements and other proceduresincluding WFPs Guidelines for Software Solutions.
necessary measures to ensure PCI DSS and GDPR compliance across various systems.
technical documentation up to date and ensure timely back-ups.
system and data recovery tests on a regular basis.
address any concerns raised by the Technology Division.
the procedures required to decommission and archive the IT solution and all the associated data generated; and
the Individual Giving team in other key priorities as required.
DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT
Maintained data integrity through the following:
Ensure data relationship between the source and the reports through a strict guidance and relationship mapping process
Ensure reporting data and needs are met through working with technical specialist to coordinate and design data model needs
IT architecture and IT development roadmap documents are built and updated to:
Ensure quality of end-to-end system confluence and help troubleshoot integration problems
Help coordinate and map a larger IT roadmap working with technical consultants
Ensure necessary TEC clearances are obtained and solutions are registered in corporate systems as needed
Solution assessment document(s) to support solution development and:
Ensure proposed solution fits within the roadmap and are compatible with the existing systems and data
Evaluate ongoing solutions to ensure they fit within data and compliance needs
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Education:
University degree or relevant educational certification in Computer Science IT Engineering Professional Software Engineer or closely related discipline.
A strong background in troubleshooting and technology support will be beneficial.
Salesforce developer certification is a strong advantage.
Agile/Scrum certification is a plus.
Work history:
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the technology sector with at least 2 years as a technology lead.
Hard skills:
Essential computer skills in Microsoft Office applications: proficiency in Word PowerPoint and Excel
Proven ability to conceptualize plan manage develop and monitor processes
Excellent understanding of global issues and an ability to translate an Organisations mission
Soft skills:
Outstanding analytical negotiation and advocacy skills
Highly organized with exceptional planning skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks within deadlines and deliver on commitments
Ability to take initiative to solve problems and seek solutions
Work effectively in a multi-cultural environment and international organization
Excellent communicator with ability to work collaboratively with colleagues acrossdifferent disciplines and time zones
Uses tact and courtesy to give and receive information with a variety of individuals(people oriented)
Motivated team spirit and contributed to an inclusive and sound workingenvironment (team player)
Highly adaptable to change and comfortable dealing with ambiguity stress and competing demands with grace and humor
Language(s):
Excellent command of spoken and written English
Intermediate knowledge of another official UN language would be a plus (Arabic Chinese French Russian Spanish).
