About our Monarch E&S Insurance:
Monarch E&S a division of SPG Insurance Solutions (Monarch) is a rapidly growing and successful property and casualty insurance wholesaler and managing general agency based in Burbank CA with branches in MA & FL. We sell exclusively to retail agencies across the country with a focus on small to mid-market E&S commercial and specialty personal lines risks.
About the Position:
The ideal candidate for this position will possess excellent customer service skills and serve as a technical resource to a large and growing commercial lines underwriting/brokerage renewal team. Successful applicants will work with the in-house renewal program team to request and review underwriting information for rating of pen/binding carriers and engaging brokerage markets on complex risks. Chance to work closely with Monarchs largest underwriter/producer daily gaining underwriting and broking knowledge.
Responsibilities:
Communicate effectively with Pen and Brokerage Carriers to obtain the broadest coverage at the best price providing the most sellable quotes
Understanding Pen Underwriting Guidelines to Properly quote business within authority
Rating and Preparation of quotes with Pen/ Binding Carriers
Handle incoming calls and emails from retail agents and carriers ensuring highest level of customer service standards are met bringing communication to a satisfactory resolution
Handle documents according to established departmental procedures with accuracy efficiency and meeting compliance standards
Working closely with Commercial Line Underwriters in the renewal program
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Proficiency in various Carrier Rating Portals Microsoft Word and Excel
High School graduate required; College courses preferred
Previous work experience in the fields of insurance customer service banking or similar with a successful track record
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong organization skills with a high level of detail orientation
Location:
Primary daily work would be fully remote with travel to CA for training opportunities required a few times per year.
Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $65000-$70000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidates skills experience and working location as well as the specific positions business line scope and level.
