Job Description

Psychologist/Psychological Associate/Psycho-Educational Consultant

Position Type:

Contract - Full-Time/Part-time

Effective Immediately Throughout the Academic School Year


Salary Range

$70574 - $113928 Masters Degree

$80403 - $123941 Ph. D in Psychology

Employees who hold a doctoral degree in a relevant field of study shall receive $2363.00 in addition to their grid placement prorated based on FTE/length of contract

The position of Psychologist with a Masters Degree and Psychological Associates shall receive $1600.00 in addition to their grid placement prorated based on FTE/length of contract

POSITION SUMMARY

Psychologists Psychological Associates and Psycho-Educational Consultants work under the administrative direction of the Superintendent of Special Education and Learning Services or designate and the clinical direction of the Chief Psychologist. The Psychologist Psychological Associate and Psycho-Educational Consultant will apply their knowledge of human behaviour development and mental health to the learning mental health and well-being needs of students through psychological assessment intervention and consultation.

The Psychoeducational Consultant will provide psychological assessment intervention and consultation services under direct clinical supervision by a Senior Psychologist or designate per the requirements of the regulatory college.

Qualifications:

  • For Psychologists:
    • Doctoral degree in School Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
    • Registration as a Psychologist with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario
  • For Psychological Associates:
    • Masters degree in School Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
    • Registration as a Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario.
  • For Psycho-Educational Consultants:
    • Masters degree in School Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
    • Working towards registration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario for independent practice.

  • Evidence of commitment to equity diversity and inclusion.
  • Previous experience in a school psychology setting an asset.
  • Experience administering psychological assessments measuring intellectual academic social behavioural and emotional/mental health functioning in children and adolescents.
  • Experience with consulting counselling and primary secondary and tertiary intervention programs and techniques.
