Location/Division Specific Information
This role is a permanent full-time role and is based at our Kent Street site in Brisbane and does offer a hybrid working environment.
About the role:
The Supply Chain Specialist role is to optimize supply chain processes across planning procurement logistics warehousing distribution finance and quality. This role also serves as the site SAP Subject Matter Authority (SME) coordinating updates quality management risk management organizational change and validation support.
What Youll Do:
Key Responsibilities
ERP System Management:
- Develop expertise in SAP Material Management Warehouse Management Quality Management Material Flows and Logistics Execution
- Use SAP and scanning technology to guide process design and provide necessary training
- Design efficient business processes using the latest SAP technology and test new processes to meet GMP requirements
- Collaborate with the SAP development team to specify system customizations and deliver solutions
- Work with QA and validation teams to define acceptance criteria and project scope
- Collaborate with global IT and SAP support teams to tailor solutions to meet requirements
- Build and handle metrics/reports in SAP.
- Conduct monthly reviews of ERP records and handle open records as necessary
Quality Management:
- Write deviations conduct investigations and propose corrective/preventative actions
- Update and write procedures as needed
- Implement global procedures and policies
- Initiate change control and perform related actions
Risk Management:
- Support EH&S and Quality teams in handling risks related to safety and quality processes and events
Process Improvements:
- Deliver crucial business outcomes for supply chain capabilities and processes
- Develop functional specifications for supply chain capabilities in collaboration with partners
Practical Process Improvement (PPI):
- Serve as the Change Champion for the Supply Chain team
- Actively participate in and support PPI initiatives
- Map processes identify gaps and coordinate organizational change activities
Comprehensive Support Across Supply Chain:
- Warehouse Support:Assist with inbound processes storage processes location labels resolving back orders and invoices
- Planning & Purchasing Support:Create new purchase orders in SAP or ARIBA resolve invoice issues maintain pricing create ACF and provide back order reports
- Logistics Support:Support outbound shipments of drug substances and QC samples
Training:
- Act as the Master Trainer for the Supply Chain team
- Collaborate with the Quality Training team to develop and initiate training for Supply Chain personnel
Project Management:
- Collaborate on special projects and system implementations as needed
Responsibilities:
- Lead train and handle the Procurement and Demand management team.
- Drive and lead process improvement activities
- Ensure quality of materials management and documentation according to relevant EH&S and cGMP regulations
- Assist in training operations staff
- Write and implement policies and procedures including Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
- Establish monthly reports
Keys to Success:
Qualifications & Experience:
- 2 years industry work experience in Planning Scheduling and Material management in a manufacturing plant
- Manufacturing background preferred
- SAP Certification is helpful but not essential
- High-level proficiency in Planning Software/ERP/Excel with exceptional analytical skills
- Strong cGMP knowledge and experience
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Excellent presentation planning and interpersonal skills - excels at solving problems.
- Expertise with SAP or other ERP/MRP/Planning systems
