The Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in operating machines that process (screen sort separate and bale) household recyclable materials (metal glass and plastic) as well as Paper and Cardboard.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this Job the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger handle and feel. Reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work outside under extreme temperature conditions. (Heat cold etc.)
While performing the duties of this Job the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
