DescriptionThe Temple Department plays a key role in extending the ordinances of salvation to all of Gods children around the world. This is an in-office position. Candidates must be able to work in a Salt Lake City based officed five days a week.
The Data Analyst is responsible for providing department partners with reliable data from trusted source systems that will empower and inform key decision making. Access and integrate data for reporting to establish data standards quality and reliability.
Responsibilities- Work on data from multiple systems.
- Integrate both structured and unstructured data for standardized dashboards and reporting.
- Understand the relationship of data from various sources for integration.
- Perform deep dive analytical analysis and interpretation.
- Define what the data is where it is coming from how it will be captured and how it will be consumed.
- Validate data quality including sources reliability completeness validity and uniqueness.
- Channel the data to where it is needed.
- Perform predictive/statistical modeling query building data sources quality assurance.
- Use business requirements to tell the story.
- Develop dashboards & reports that are actionable and measurable.
- Define business requirements and write user stories for IT partners to create datasets from.
- Ensure quality assurance.
- Manage audience access and viewing.
- Communicate and instruct on data use.
- Provide data that enables business leaders to make informed decisions.
Qualifications- BS/BA Degree in mathematics statistics computer science or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of related work experience
- Intermediate knowledge and skill in Tableau and Power BI.
- Writing of queries and reports using R Python and/or SQL.
- Seeing and understanding the story data tells.
- Presentation and data storytelling.
- Works with minimal to moderate oversight and meet established deadlines.
- Thrives in both a team environment and as an individual contributor.
