Job Description

The Cambridge Housing Society (CHS Group) is seeking an exceptional leader who shares our values and ambition to join us as our new Chief Executive following the retirement of the current postholder.

Mission and ambition

CHS Group is a social enterprise and charitable housing association. It provides a wide range of services in the Cambridge area including rental and shared ownership homes housing with care for older people support for young people parents people with additional needs or experiencing homelessness together with support in the community with money debt and employment advice. We have some 2230 general needs homes 450 shared ownership 84 sheltered 208 units of specialist older peoples housing and some 216 units of supported housing.

CHSs nearly hundred-year-old mission meeting the desperate need for affordable homes in and around Cambridge is as relevant and important as ever. We believe that as an independent locally based housing provider we have a unique part to play in meeting local housing needs.
