Job Description

Job Title: Business Development Officer EdTech Sales

Location: Upper Chembur Govandi East Mumbai
Mode of Work: On-site

We are currently hiring on behalf of our EdTech partner which offers industry-relevant certification programs designed to upskill professionals and bridge the talent gap in various sectors.

Role Overview

As a Business Development Officer (BDO) you will be instrumental in driving the sales of our innovative certification courses. This is a client-facing field rolethat involves prospecting conducting in-person meetings providing course consultations and converting leads into active customers. You will work closely with sales leadership to meet ambitious growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and generate leads within the assigned territory through direct outreach and networking
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings and product demonstrations to promote certification courses
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in educational institutions and organizations
  • Address customer queries and effectively communicate course value propositions
  • Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets through consistent outreach and pipeline management
  • Participate in promotional events exhibitions and other lead-generation activities
  • Track and report sales activity customer feedback and competitor insights to Management
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align on sales strategies and product offerings
  • Stay updated with EdTech trends and continuously upgrade sales skills and product knowledge

Candidate Requirements

  • 12 years of sales experience in the EdTech sector or B2B sales
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence in product demonstrations and consultative selling
  • Willingness to travel within Mumbai and assigned areas
  • Knowledge of the education industry landscape and existing network (preferred)
  • Self-motivated result-oriented and a team player
  • Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Sales or a related field
