Profile: Data Governance coordinator
Location: Eindhoven Netherlands (Mostly onsite)
Duration: 6 months contract
Overview:
We are seeking a Data Governance coordinator who will focus on the organizational aspects of data governance within our data lakehouse environment. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining the necessary policies procedures and responsibilities for managing data assets ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop implement and maintain policies and procedures for data governance security quality and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with data stewards and business stakeholders to ensure understanding and adherence to data governance frameworks.
- Lead initiatives for data classification and ownership ensuring proper documentation and accessibility of data assets.
- Facilitate communication and training sessions to promote data governance best practices across the organization.
- Monitor adherence to established data policies and recommend improvements as needed.
- Ensure alignment between developers and business counterparts regarding data management practices.
- You will work together with data governance developer datalake operations team and business adoption team.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or masters degree in Operations Research or Information Management related fields of study
- Proven experience in data governance data management or related fields.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices.
- Familiarity with data security principles and compliance regulations (e.g. GDPR CCPA).
- Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with or knowledge of data management tools and technologies is a plus (e.g. AWS Lake Formation data catalogs).
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) certification is a strong plus.
