Service Setting: Inpatient Hospital

Coverage Type: Clinical Only

Coverage Period: 06/14/2025 Varies

Clinical Shift Schedule: 7a 7a; 2-3 shifts per week

PATIENT INFORMATION

Patient Demographics: Pediatrics PICU; Ages 0 18

Patient Volume/Census: 7 15 patients/day

Admissions: Yes

Rounding: Included

Case Mix: Pediatric critical care trauma neurosurgery

FACILITY INFORMATION

Trauma Level: Level 1 (Adult)

EMR System: Cerner

Support Staff Available: Present

Reason for Coverage: Scheduling/Shift Gaps

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active AZ License

Certifications: PALS BLS Acute Care

Experience: Minimum 1 year in PICU

Other Qualifications: Must be board certified in Pediatrics; DEA required

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide inpatient pediatric critical care in PICU and pediatric units

Manage patients with trauma and neurosurgical needs

Perform required procedures including intubations lines and LPs

Coordinate with support staff and hospital teams

Use Cerner EMR for documentation
