Mission
To continue the mission of protecting those who serve by expanding NSA Defense s impact within the Department of Defense. This Business Development Manager will be entrusted with driving growth through trusted relationships battlefield-tested gear and purpose-driven execution. You are not selling garments you re delivering protection and continuing your commitment to the warfighter.
Performance Objectives

Establish and Deepen Strategic Relationships
Build trust with contracting officers RAs SPOs and procurement teams across West Coast military installations.

Own the Territory
Manage and grow an assigned region (San Diego to Seattle and inland to key bases in Arizona/Nevada) optimizing travel plans pipeline velocity and Salesforce reporting.

Drive Revenue Through Product Demonstrations
Conduct live demonstrations of NSA s flame-resistant and cold-weather gear (e.g. DRIFIRE Wild Things) with decision-makers and influencers.

Navigate the Defense Procurement Process
Leverage understanding of Berry Amendment TAA compliance and military funding timelines to close government contracts.

Accelerate Brand Penetration
Amplify existing customer relationships with warm leads distributors and product users while hunting new strategic opportunities.

Integrate Into a Mission-Driven Sales Team
Complete a rigorous 4-week onboarding (NSA 101 to 401) to understand product specs fully sales strategy and branch-specific needs. Operate with autonomy and accountability.

Requirements
- Sales experience is preferred but high-performing veterans with strong communications are also a target for this hiring manager.
- Must have served in the U.S. Army U.S. Navy U.S. Marine Corps U.S. Air Force U.S. Coast Guard U.S. Space Force U.S. Reserves or U.S. National Guard.
- Location: Must reside on the West Coast (ideal: San Diego or Seattle metro)
- Travel: Able to travel extensively to military installations and defense partners
- Experience:
- Prior military procurement defense contracting or government sales preferred
- Prior territory or regional sales experience a strong plus
- Knowledge of government procurement cycles and regulations (Berry Amendment TAA)
- Strong verbal communication CRM fluency (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Financial Acumen: Understands budgeting ROI-driven planning and sales forecasting
- Education: Bachelor s preferred but performance and leadership take priority
