Job Description

The Maintenance Technician role is responsible for performing skilled trades and apprentice craft work for construction maintenance and repair of facilities systems buildings and equipment within a manufacturing environment.

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our facility s equipment systems and operations through hands-on mechanical and electrical work. This role is ideal for individuals with vocational education or military technical training particularly those with a strong electrical background and a desire to grow in a structured team-oriented manufacturing environment.

While we welcome entry-level candidates preference will be given to those with 1 5 years of industrial maintenance experience especially with demonstrated electrical aptitude.

What You ll Be Doing

Installation & Maintenance

  • Install maintain repair and troubleshoot equipment in a manufacturing or field site environment.

  • Dismantle and move complex industrial machinery.

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Service and repair vehicles or auxiliary equipment where applicable.

Electrical & Technical Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot maintain and repair AC/DC drives and motors.

  • Diagnose and resolve issues with electrical wiring circuits and control panels.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Use PLC and ladder logic knowledge to assist with automation and control system troubleshooting.

  • Maintain and repair industrial robots and associated control systems (experience preferred).

Equipment Support & Improvement

  • Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and recommend improvements.

  • Document modifications troubleshooting steps and preventive maintenance activities in technical reports.

Team & Entry-Level Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks under supervision when needed following established procedures and safety standards.

  • Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors regarding maintenance activities.

  • Support broader team goals in safety uptime and reliability.

What Makes a Great Candidate

Required:

  • U.S. military service (Army Navy Marine Corps Air Force Coast Guard Space Force Reserves or National Guard).

  • Vocational education trade school training or equivalent technical background.

  • Strong understanding of maintenance safety practices.

  • Willingness to learn and take initiative in a hands-on environment.

  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.

Preferred:

  • 1 5 years of industrial maintenance experience with a focus on electrical systems.

  • Proficiency in reading schematics and electrical troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of PLC systems ladder logic and industrial automation (troubleshooting experience a plus).

  • Experience with robotics and motion control systems.

  • Self-motivated reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.



Requirements

Must have served in the U.S. Army U.S. Navy U.S. Marine Corps U.S. Air Force U.S. Coast Guard U.S. Space Force U.S. Reserves or U.S. National Guard.
Vocational Education background
Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures and tools
Ability to follow standard procedures and routines
Good communication skills for sharing straightforward information
Willingness to learn and develop maintenance skills
Little or no prior experience required (entry-level position)
Ability to work under close supervision
Capability to perform supportive maintenance tasks
