Remuneration - N20M - N23M
Key Highlights
Monitor and influence team behavior to ensure zero harm and enforce adherence to statutory and corporate standards to ensure no legal exposure to the company.
Quality standards Instill excellence in engineering construction and equipment installation that meets world class standards leading to vertical ramp-up.
Religiously track and control the three main facets of project management Scope Budget and Schedule.
Coach direct reports on best project management and engineering practices e.g. Early Equipment Management (EEM) etc
Key Responsibilities:
Project management
Leading the PC Nigeria Masterplan Expansion Project Team; consisting of Global and Local Project Team.
Defining scope reviewing cost estimates and monitoring expenditures.
Reviewing and monitoring schedules.
Reviewing Front End Engineering Design and Detail engineering
Reviewing specifications for construction and equipment purchases.
Managing equipment procurement including tender process
Administering contracts for construction including preparing and evaluating bids and negotiating terms and conditions.
Interfacing with government regulatory agencies for permitting processes
Managing fabrication construction and installation job
Managing commissioning and start-up.
Managing the turnover ramp up and startup of facilities.
Sustainability & CI:
Develop a structure for continuous improvement and use of CI tools in project management centered around EEM and Breakdown prevention.
Implement the sustainability objective in line with the company s global sustainability targets/commitment.
Aptitude Knowledge Skills and Experience
Degree in engineering e.g. Mechanical Electrical Civil and structural etc. Certifications e.g. Project Manager Professional (PMP) would be an added advantage.
Experience on project management tools and systems
Candidate must have over 10 years experience and strong track record in program/portfolio management for factory investment projects
Proven experience in managing multi-cultural and multi-stakeholder environments preferably in FMCG
Willingness to travel for realization of the project
Strong leadership skills on personality level (self-reflective inspire others enable performance)
Fluent English communication skills - spoken and written
Good understanding of inter - functional relationships in a multinational set-up.
Clear understanding of the importance of Brand Protection
Proactive and Active Listening Capabilities
Working knowledge of manufacturing operations and Business reporting
Key Interfaces & Stakeholders
Regional and global engineering leads
Regional and global Financial leads
Government officials and suppliers Focus on integrity while engaging with government officials.
