Continental Automotive is entering into Fabless Semiconductor Solutions. The target is to build up a robust supply base with Zero Defect Quality Culture and streamlined value chain with new responsibilities and interface definitions for suppliers. The best-fit supplier strategy will be applied to achieve best market conditions for our company.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to Global Category Sensor & ASICs strive to secure Best in Class consistent and sustainable supplier quality performance to reach Continental Business and Quality targets.
- Lead the global team (Component Introduction & Series Production) of Semiconductor Solutions in customer-owned tooling setup supplier strategy escalations and cross-supplier issues.
- Define drive and implement best-in-class Supplier & Component strategy by setting Category quality requirements deploying lessons learned and early involvement in supplier and technology identification.
- Drive supplier development and improvement activities at supplier sites.
- Define release and implement Semiconductor Solutions procedures guidelines and tools to meet the Zero-defect strategy.
- Oversee component development quality and Material Life Cycle (MLC) release activities in collaboration with R&D Technical Operation Management and Test Program Engineering.
- Support manufacturing quality including MRB decisions 8D handling failure analysis escalation management test coverage enhancement and risk assessment.
- Define and maintain Semiconductor Solutions specific requirements including audits certification and technical capability for Foundry OSAT and Test suppliers.
- Support product and process change requests including PCNs from suppliers ensuring comprehensive qualification of any changes.
- Support data systems to collect and evaluate supplier quality-related key performance indicators (KPIs) for regular quality performance reporting.
Qualifications :
- Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering (or a similar relevant field). A Masters degree or MBA would be a plus.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in the semiconductor industry with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge in semiconductor design and processes (e.g. wafer process technologies assembly test) quality systems and component qualification.
- Understanding of automotive practices preferred.
- Ability to lead supplier development and audit activities with frequent travel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including collaboration analytical and negotiation abilities.
