Job Description

AECOM is seeking a skilled Human Resources Business Partner with demonstrated experience as a Human Resource partner to the business implementing HR programs and initiatives. This role works closely with business leaders to ensure HR programs and services are in place to support and drive business objectives. The role will also leverage services from the Centers of Excellence in the areas of Talent Acquisition Global Mobility Organization and Employee Development Compensation and Benefits. 

Candidates must possess effective interpersonal and project management skills; have previous experience in a mid-to-large multi-national organization; preferably in a technical/professional/engineering environment. The successful candidate should also have proven experience in remotely supporting client groups across the United States (US) and throughout countries within Latin America.

This will be a remote role can be based in but not limited to: Coral Gables FL; Tampa FL;  Atlanta GA; Dallas TX; Houston TX; Denver CO; New York City. Qualified candidates will need to be able to work both Central and/or Eastern US time zone schedules.  

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with all groups within the HR function translate business strategies and objectives into the appropriate HR actions and initiatives
  • Partner with internal resources to execute corporate wide HR initiatives and programs
  • Coach business leaders which will be primarily based in geographies throughout the Americas; Develop and implement programs which foster employee engagement
  • Ensure proper implementation and champion a global mindset in the execution of HR programs and initiatives
  • Effectively partner with COE to conduct and/or manage employee relations issues and investigations

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree 10 years of Human Resources experience operating as a Human Resources Business Partner in a mid to large multi-national organization as well as 2 years of leadership experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English language
  • Knowledge of U.S. and Latin America employment law and regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Portuguese language proficiency
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and Human Capital Management systems
  • Demonstrated ability as a People Leader
  • Proven competence in the various HR functional areas: compensation employee relations management coaching & facilitation organizational development benefits conflict resolution employee communications and talent acquisition
  • SPHR/PHR/GPHR Certification
  • Experience with automated HR tools and working in a shared service model
