Job Description
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Under supervision plan and design portions of projects of varying complexity following design construction and government standards using various design software and tools.
- Complete design calculations review and analyze field data and assist in preparing construction cost estimates with guidance by a senior engineer.
- Perform engineering tasks in support of the creation of water and wastewater treatment facilities water and sewer systems pipelines and pump stations to meet client project requirements.
- Prepare reports or analysis such as design calculations field data results/conclusions and/or cost estimates.
- Analyze survey reports maps drawings blueprints aerial photographs geologic data and other data to plan projects.
- Provide supporting narrative sections to engineering reports relative to tasks completed.
- Gather and record information to be used to edit or update company specifications.
- Support field assignments as required.
- Review vendor drawings to assure compliance with specifications.
- Prepare routine technical reports.
- Visit job sites to gain field experience broaden background and develop practical engineering skills.
- Contribute to the successful implementation of projects in construction through document review and development of comments and direction for contractors.

- Bachelors Degree in Civil/Environmental/Chemical Engineering with 0 to 2 years of demonstrated experience with study and design of treatment and/or conveyance systems for water and sewer.
- Fundamental understanding of physical chemical and biological practices for treating and conveying municipal wastewater and potable water including but limited to hydraulics pump selection and sizing and process equipment.
- Ability to perform field work in support of planning and design projects.
- Ability to function well in a collaborative team environment.
Ideally the candidate will have:
- Strong verbal written and interpersonal communication skills and capable of working independently and with colleagues clients contractors and regulatory agency staff.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint etc.
