We are looking to appoint a Strategy Analyst to provide relevant insights to help the Commercial franchise make the right decisions solve key problems and achieve its growth plans. The analyst supports the development and execution of the franchises strategic priorities. This includes using both internal & external data to inform the ongoing evaluation of Shawbrooks performance growth opportunities and strategy.
The Strategy Analyst will work closely with the Senior Strategy Manager on proposals for strategic initiatives and deliver internal and external reporting of the strategic plan. The Analyst will be required to work collaboratively with teams across the franchise (including senior management) and to support the development of new and existing initiatives.
- Deriving business insights and presenting these in a compelling way.
- Identifying business needs and supporting the development of plans to help the Commercial team to realise its goals.
- Supporting the preparation of materials for the strategic business of the franchise
- Supporting the launch of new products/initiatives (including inorganic opportunities)
- Regular internal reporting on business performance MI and strategy
- Use of MI to identify risks and opportunities within the existing portfolio
- Horizon scanning of key trends impacting our customers and markets
Qualifications :
- Previous experience of working within an SME finance/structured finance environment.
- Able to demonstrate a broad understanding of the UK SME finance market.
- Experience of using SQL / similar programming languages to access and interrogate data would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Previous experience in presenting data would be advantageous
- Comfortable working with teams and individuals across all levels of the organisation including senior leadership.
- Able to demonstrate critical thinking: drawing conclusions from objective analysis and logical thought.
