Job Description
This role will be responsible for overseeing all general accounting operations ensuring the accuracy of financial records and contributing to period-end closings. The role will also play an active part in improving existing accounting processes and ensuring compliance with both local (VUK) and international (IFRS) reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounting transactions in compliance with local and international accounting principles
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing procedures
Prepare financial statements including balance sheets and income statements
Oversee and control all general ledger entries and reconciliations
Collaborate with auditors and external consultants during audits and financial reviews
Support the implementation and improvement of accounting procedures and internal controls
Participate in inflation accounting processes (if applicable)
Work closely with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and reporting activities
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
810 years of experience in accounting (67 years acceptable if supported by strong technical knowledge and development)
Experience in companies operating in manufacturing import/export environments
Proficiency in SAP FI module; familiarity with CO module is a plus
Strong command of English (both written and verbal)
Solid knowledge of general accounting principles and practices
Hands-on experience in month-end closing and financial statement preparation
Experience with both VUK and IFRS standards
Previous involvement in inflation accounting processes is a plus
SMMM certification is preferred
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables formulas financial modeling)
Experience in accounting process improvement projects is an asset
Strong attention to detail analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
