Job Description
Job Summary:
The Engineer position is responsible for supporting project work associated with their corresponding department. This may be functional or based on a particular disciplinary grouping (e.g. by client or technical group) and will generally form the reporting point for line managers within their group.
Experience & Education:
- 1 year of industry experience required
- Relevant engineering degree required
- Advanced degree preferred
- Proven ability to manage client relationships
- Proven ability to manage quality time team and budget on small projects and on discrete scopes of work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present at industry seminars/conferences/meetings
- Ability to travel offshore and internationally
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Obtain feedback from clients
- Identify and develop business opportunities
- On the job training for junior staff
- Develop proposals
- Issue weekly updates (as required)
- Develop engineering manuals
- Ensure client satisfaction through effective project delivery and QA/QC
- Ensure internal professional development actions are executed
- Ensure correct project/deliverable documentation
- Responsible for adhering to GATE policies and procedures in a positive manner
- Proactively work to create positive and professional culture within GATE
- Present at monthly meetings and lunch and learn sessions
- Other duties as assigned
