Role Summary/Purpose:
TheProduction Plannerwill be responsible for all day-to-day planning activities focused on the kit production placement and expediting of supply orders in accordance with a defined material strategy at both internal and external sites. They will interact cross-functionally to help understand changing requirements execute supply orders and expedite components to help meet customer expectations. The person in this role should demonstrate a strong analytical and customer-focused mindset and utilize their expertise of materials planning concepts to ensure an uninterrupted optimal supply of parts.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Overall ownership of short and long-term supply plan for kit items meeting business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Proactively identify and anticipate shortages collaborate with other planners to expedite and resolve shortages highlight delays and escalate shortages as needed to eliminate affecting internal and external customers.
  • Review release reschedule and manage WIP jobs and necessary material transactions to align supply and demand and support customer escalations.
  • Work with all levels of personnel (hourly professional lead and senior management) in resolving issues tracking material availability and advising on material shortages via calls in-person emails and meetings.
  • Manage a high impact and/or volume of make supply orders across multiple supply chains to ensure on time delivery.
  • Understand issues and opportunities and drive process improvements to mitigate and reduce fulfillment risk caused by both internal and external issues.
  • Maintain SOPs documenting Oracle/Excel transactions and other steps for all responsibilities.
  • Use problem solving skills to work through fulfillment and supplier issues.
  • Have daily communications with internal customers (Customer Service Planning Sales).
  • Create review update necessary reports to effectively communicate to all levels of the business.
  • Complete Service Item Activation To-Dos as required.
  • Perform inventory transactions to support reallocation.
  • Work extensively within Oracle ERP/ASCP and Microsoft Excel.
  • Works within a team setting and under minimal guidance.
  • Other duties as necessary.
Minimum Requirement:
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college with supply chain focus or related field (or 3 years of comparable industry experience).
  • Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning module Oracle SAP etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Skills:
  • APICS Supply Chain Certification.
  • Knowledge of and experience managing WIP jobs with multi-level BOMs.
  • Must be a collaborative team player willing to take ownership of decisions and be a results-oriented self-starter.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate drive change at all levels of the organization and excel in fast paced business environment.
  • Consistent track record of meeting / exceeding key performance objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize assess prioritize tasks risks resources milestones and deliverables with frequently changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and coordinate several projects simultaneously lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
  • Ability to analyze problems identify root causes and provide efficient solutions.
  • Significant planning scheduling or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently under tight time deadlines with a high tolerance for ambiguity ability to work with multiple & competing. priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal presentation and influencing skills with a strong customer focus.
