BECOME AN AIRCRAFT/GSE FUEL LEAD AT PRIMEFLIGHT!
The Aircraft/GSE Fuel Lead plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient fueling of aircraft and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) at the airport. This position requires conducting fueling operations leading fueling teams and ensuring compliance with safety and aviation standards. The Fuel Lead is responsible for conducting quality control inspections managing fueling schedules and handling emergencies such as spills. This role involves regular collaboration with airline personnel maintenance teams and other operational departments to ensure seamless fueling operations.
WHAT ITS LIKE TO WORK AS AN AIRCRAFT/GSE FUEL LEAD
- Lead fueling operations ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently
- Coordinate fueling tasks and ensure proper staffing and coverage for fueling operations
- Fuel aircraft and GSE (including Hydrant Trucks Fuel Trucks Tanker Trucks Tugs and Belt Loaders)
- Ensure accurate fuel quantities and proper fuel balancing during refueling operations
- Conduct daily equipment inspections to ensure cleanliness and operational readiness
- Perform quality control checks and resolve fueling discrepancies or issues
- Address emergency situations promptly including fuel spills and equipment malfunctions
- Maintain accurate records of all fueling transactions and fuel usage for aircraft and GSE
- Assist in training new fueling staff ensuring adherence to safety and operational procedures
- Collaborate with airline personnel to ensure timely fueling for departures and minimize delays
- Monitor the performance of fueling equipment ensuring it meets operational and safety standards
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations including wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain consistent and dependable attendance with the flexibility to work any shift as required
- Work outdoors in varying temperatures and inclement weather
- Brings their A game every day with energy and enthusiasm respect for their team and the highest regard for safety
- May be assigned other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- 18 years of age or older
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to read write speak and understand the English language to include documents
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to physically assist and transport passengers in wheelchairs
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Airlines are 24/7 so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights weekends and holidays
- Ability to use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets Computers and Mobile Devices
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA TSA Port Authority U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
