Nursery Chef
Hourly Rate: 14
Hours per week: 25 8:30-13:30
As a Nursery Chef you will be responsible for creating nutritious and diverse meals for children in a nursery setting. You will ensure that the meals provided are healthy delicious and suitable for children of all ages. Your role is crucial in promoting healthy eating habits and educating young children about the importance of nutrition.
What Were Looking For
- Proven experience as a chef preferably in a nursery or childcare setting.
- Knowledge of child nutrition and dietary requirements as well as allergies.
- Certification in food safety and sanitation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children and nursery staff effectively.
- Creativity and passion for creating appealing and nutritious meals for young children.
Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare nutritious and balanced meals for children in the nursery considering any dietary restrictions or allergies.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment adhering to hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with nursery staff to ensure that meals align with the nutritional needs of the children.
- Source and purchase high-quality ingredients while staying within budget constraints.
- Engage with children to educate them about nutrition and encourage them to try new and healthy foods.
