As a Design Engineer I you will have the opportunity to work on diverse and technically challenging projects specifically focusing on the Nicor Transmission pipeline and station. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful execution of client designs from initial concept through to final delivery. You will be part of a dynamic team of Engineers and Designers/Drafters collaborating closely to achieve project goals and maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
In this position you will apply your technical knowledge to designs ensuring projects meet specifications and industry standards. You will communicate challenges related to scope cost schedule and quality working with Designers and Drafters to complete design packages. Your role will involve gaining an understanding of CAD programs and software analysis tools supporting the preparation of designs and leading the development of your disciplines design on simple projects. With hands-on experience across all phases of project development you will continuously grow your technical and design skills. Responsibilities:
Apply technical knowledge to designs and ensure projects meet specifications.
Communicate challenges related to scope cost schedule and quality.
Work with Designers and Drafters to complete design packages.
Support the preparation of designs including calculations and drawings.
Lead the development of design on simple projects and support complex projects.
Interact with clients on a limited basis.
Required Qualifications:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ArcGIS.
Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
Ability to read and understand technical material.
Ability to prioritize tasks and plan daily activities.
Ability to work collaboratively with others.
