This position is in Cargills food and bioindustrialbusiness where manufacturers retailers and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products.
The Process Engineerwill focus on optimizing the interconnected components of our manufacturing system by applying process and project engineering techniques to improve both processes and products. This role involves developing and implementing engineering standards and procedures while providing advice on technical challenges and leveraging continuous improvement techniques and project management skills to drive operational excellence. In this role you will help support the coordination of plant layout personnel workflow materials logistics production process sequence and equipment layouts.
Help manufacturing plant and facilities engineers with facility planning and design.
Collaborate with process engineers and cross-functional teams to optimize capital projects improve cost-efficiency and reliability benchmark best practices and support strategic planning.
Help conduct cost/inventory/production control and human factors studies to develop and implement plans for facility modifications and revise operating methods.
Establish methods to maximize use of facilities and personnel including planning production shutdowns and ensuring maintenance compliance.
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
