Summary
Manage the day-to-day business office related tasks to ensure high quality service delivery operational efficiency the meeting of financial goals and that operations run smoothly.Job Description
Supervise the implementation of policies and procedures within the business office to ensure compliance with organizational standards and government regulations. Monitor the financial data analysis and reporting processes for internal control. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers. Manage revenue cycle activities to include coding billing and accounts receivable.
Work closely with service line leadership department managers and providers to manage process people and technology to provide optimal patient/resident access operations and revenue cycle functionality. Lead efforts overseeing the overall functions of patient/resident access coding charge capture billing processes and functions including the accuracy and timeliness of charge entry claims submission follow-up and quality. Provide collections oversight.
Track statistical information regarding volume and general operations. Participate in the implementation of long-range strategic plans budgets and business development to assure that the operation stays within the approved budget. Work with other department managers and department personnel to identify financial improvement opportunities while receiving support from finance and accounting on financial matters.
Prepare requested statistical reports on an ad hoc and on a weekly monthly quarterly and annual basis. Provide consultation for hospital-based ground services. Depending on the setting may consult and advise ambulance compliance specific billing requirements creating an enterprise-wide impact on education and compliance related ambulance billing.
Perform staff assignments work flow orientation ongoing training hiring interviewing productivity reporting coaching corrective action and performance appraisals.
Qualifications
