I. Job Summary
Under minimal supervision this position is responsible for designing developing coding testing and debugging new software and producing significant enhancements to existing software. Conducts complex business process analysis needs assessments and participates in design sessions with Architects in order to align information technology solutions with business initiatives. Undertakes complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge in software design and testing.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other ancillary duties may be assigned.
- Undertakes the complex applications development projects involving multiple disciplines and technologies
- Develops enterprise-level information technology solutions by analyzing designing coding testing and implementing new and by modifying existing software applications with full competency.
- Coordinates with business analysts and architects in business and technical requirement analysis effort estimation.
- Articulates design and resolves technical/design conflicts as they occur
- Delivers solution on time ensuring quality and completeness of the deliverables
- Identifies opportunities to improve and implements best practices learnings and improvements
- Takes ownership mentors and fosters growth of peers and team members.
- Proficiency in Python and Java
- Cloud Technologies: AWS Services such as Lambda IAM S3 EFS SQS SNSAPI Gateway CLI KinesisGlue Elasticache CloudWatch CloudFormation
- Experience working with Databases like Oracle SQL Server PostgreSQLand NoSQL databases such as Cassandra and Dynamo DB
- Experience with Big Data Technologies like Hadoop Spark EMR
- Experience working on complex cloud-based software projects web application development security and open-source technologies.
- Full Stack Development is preferred including Front end technologies such as Front End Angular JavaScript HTML5
- Experience AI / ML / Data Science is preferred
- Excellent Communication skills and ability to understand Functional / domain Requirements and business vision
- Passionate about new technologies and willing to explore new technologies Proof of concepts
- Knowledge of Service Oriented Microservices and Event-driven design patterns
- Systems development implementation upgrades and analyses QA testing catalyst or unified business modeling system design and analysis.
- Knowledge of enterprise coding standards.
- Hands on experience in writing highly complex code.
- Ability to perform code reviews.
- Knowledge of software methodologies and agile development methodologies.
III. Supervisory Responsibilities
May coach and mentor less-experienced analysts and act as team leader on systems projects.
IV. Qualifications

A. Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science MIS or similar area of study or in lieu of degree High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant experience.
- Experience: Five (5) years of previous experience (in addition to education requirement).
B. Certificates Licenses Registrations or Other Requirements
- None required.
C. Other Knowledge Skills or Abilities Required
Advanced knowledge or skills in one or more of the following is required:
- Knowledge of project management/change management in regards to acquisition/development life cycles.
- Systems development implementation upgrades and analyses
- QA testing catalyst or unified business modeling system design and analysis
- Knowledge of enterprise coding standards.
- Hands on experience in writing more complex code.
- Ability to perform code reviews.
- Knowledge of software methodologies.
- Ability to learn new and emerging technologies.
- Ability to lead a group to consensus solve problems and accomplish tasks.
- Ability to mentor and train less knowledgeable peers and individuals.
