North Somerset Councils Family Wellbeing Service is looking for a dedicated and experienced Early Years professional to join our dynamic Childrens Centre Team. This is your chance to be part of a service that truly makes an impact.

About the Role

As part of our Family Wellbeing Service youll help us deliver North Somerset Councils Early Help offer for children and young people aged 019 (or up to 25 for those with SEND). Were proud to champion the Family Hub modela welcoming one-stop shop where families can access vital support and community connection.

In this varied and rewarding role youll:

  • Lead and shape high-quality inclusive groups and creches primarily for children under the age of 5 and supports all children including children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) English as an additional language families that are separated blended or in care male carers;everyone is welcome.
  • Champion the voice of the childin all planning delivery and evaluation. We want our activities to reflect our childrens uniqueness and celebrate individuality.
  • Partner with parents and carersto ensure a warm inclusive experience for every family reduce barriers to support access and work relationally with our parents and carers to ensure they know their voices are heard.
  • Collaborate across services working with other professionals and agencies to meet the diverse needs of our community
  • Support safe and engaging environments indoors and out aligned with Early Years and Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS) and safeguarding practices having professional curiosity to open discussions around mental health and wellbeing. This is everyones responsibility.
  • Capture learning and development using observations and meeting children to where they are within their play and build next steps in a child-led way.
  • Support our virtual offerproviding accessible activities & signposting through social media.

Some experience working with children and young people across the 019 age range or with multi-agency teams would be a bonus.

This position is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Valid driving licence and own transport or be able to provide alternative suitable method of travel is an essential condition for this role.
