This is a unique hands-on General Manager position where youll have the opportunity to work closely with each and every staff member developing and leading them to success. You will be actively involved in supporting every function of the dealership from sales to finance service and parts. As General Manager you will oversee all Gander Kia operations driving performance fostering a culture of excellence and ensuring top-tier customer satisfaction. Compensation: Commensurate with knowledge skills and plus performance bonus structure.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing the overall performance of the dealership including sales finance service and parts departments.
- Collaborating with department managers to set and achieve financial and operational goals.
- Leading coaching and developing department managers and staff to ensure a cohesive and high-performing team.
- Ensuring that the dealership delivers a superior customer experience and maintains excellent customer satisfaction ratings.
- Implementing continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Monitoring financial performance optimizing cost efficiencies and ensuring profitability across the dealership.
- Analyzing market trends and identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
To Be Successful in This Role Youll Need:
- A minimum of 5 years of dealership management experience.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams across multiple departments.
- A solid understanding of dealership financials sales and service operations.
- Strong negotiation problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and achieving high customer satisfaction ratings.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced results-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Experience (Not Required but Beneficial):
- Previous General Manger experience or brand experience.
- Knowledge of automotive retail and wholesale financing.
- Familiarity with dealer management systems (DMS) and other relevant technologies.
