About the Role
As the ECC Nurse Team Leader you will play a pivotal leadership role in coordinating clinical operations developing staff and ensuring excellence in patient care. Youll be responsible for managing the daily workflow of the ECC nursing team driving quality assurance and fostering a supportive team-oriented culturewhile still remaining hands-on in clinical treatment duties.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead mentor and support a diverse team of veterinary nurses and technicians
- Coordinate hospital rounds and daily case management
- Develop staffing rosters and ensure optimal workforce coverage
- Promote a positive collaborative workplace culture
Clinical Operations & Process Improvement
- Oversee the daily functioning of the ECC department
- Support complex procedures and emergency cases
- Drive the implementation and review of SOPs
- Lead risk management processes and cross-department collaboration
Training & Development
- Facilitate ongoing education and training programs
- Mentor staff and contribute to performance development plans
- Support onboarding and orientation for new nursing staff
Quality Assurance & Administration
- Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and safety standards
- Assist with inventory budgeting and strategic planning
- Participate in management meetings and contribute to hospital growth
What Were Looking For
- Diploma or Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing (or higher)
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience preferably in emergency or specialty care
- Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong clinical organizational and interpersonal skills
- Resilience under pressure and commitment to patient care excellence
- Proficiency with clinical systems and hospital protocols
