SpecialtyCareautotransfusion technicians play a vital role in the health and well-being ofour patients. Autotransfusion also called cell salvage is the process ofcollecting shed blood separating the red cells from the plasma washing thered cells and re-administering them to the patient.

As aClinical Technician in Autotransfusion with SpecialtyCare you will be trainedto run the equipment that purifies the patients blood and then returns theblood to the patient. Recycling the patients own blood instead of transfusingdonor blood has been shown to reduce recovery time and prevents the adverseeffects that can occur with donor blood. We also provide cell-based therapiessuch as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and bone marrow aspirate concentrate.

Requirements
  • Associate or bachelors degree preferred but not required.
  • Must live within 30 minutes of our contracted hospitals able to work flexible hours and participate in a call rotation including weekends/holidays.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to be on-call.
  • Must be able to successfully complete on the job training including certification and company sponsored education modules.
