About Lifeline Community Services

Lifeline Community Services is a premier nonprofit organization in San Diego County dedicated to empowering individuals and families to achieve self-reliance and long-term stability. Our diverse service portfolio spans housing behavioral health youth development and anti-human trafficking initiatives operating across multiple locations.


Position Summary

The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the Helping Engaging Reconnecting and Educating (HERE) Now Program in the North Inland and North Coastal regions. Under the supervision of the Program Associated Director the Program Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of North County Lifelines School Based Suicide Prevention & Early Intervention Program. This position is responsible for program supervision of program clinicians and service staff. The Program Manager oversees coordinates develops and evaluates the programs overall effectiveness to ensure its consistency with the agencys purpose approach policies and procedures compliance with funding requirements contractual requirements and overall adherence of San Diegos System of Care Principles.


Specific Activities

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assures that the program consistently provides high quality trauma informed professional services. Assures timely accurate and appropriate
  • Communicates and coordinates scheduling of services within the North Inland and North Coastal school districts and specific schools to ensure timely and consistent delivery of
  • Provides administrative supervision to program
  • Responsible with the recruitment hiring training and scheduling of program
  • Monitors staff productivity and provides constructive feedback and
  • Prepares and conducts staff performance reviews annually or as needed and ensures adherence to agency policies and procedures including disciplinary protocols if the need
  • Engages in component and program development implementation and
  • Responsible for the training and compliance of HIPPA
  • Provides (as needed) direct services presentations and counseling/assessment/case management services to program
  • Under the direction of the Program Associate Director coordinates or provides substance abuse andmental health services training and other related staff development
  • Participates in and facilitates agency and component
  • Stays informed of and disseminates to staff information related to the legal and ethical issues involved in the counseling and psychiatric
  • Resolves programmatic issues as identified by
  • Attend required meetings and training asappropriate
  • Completes other related duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience

AMF ASW required. LMFT LCSW strongly preferred. Must possess the ability to make sound clinical decisions. Must be able to apply clinical judgment ethics and accountability to formulate best practices in quality of care. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to demonstrate the interpersonal sensitivity and cultural competency needed for working with diverse populations and workforce. Ability to stablish and maintain effective working relationship with staff. Experience working within middle and high-school students in an on-campus setting desired. Experience working with at-risk youth issues desired.


Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:

Establish and maintains effective working relationships while showing open mindedness and a collaborative spirit. Compatibility with agency purpose goals philosophy and approach. Demonstrates enthusiasm and passion for their work. Utilizes a creative approach to problem solving. Interactions with others reflect a spirit of honesty humbleness and self-awareness. Accepts constructive criticism with a positive attitude and willingness to implement change. Ability to work well independently and demonstrate appropriate initiative. Must demonstrate knowledge of trauma Informed client driven and culturally competent care.


Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Ability to meet physical demands including standing walking sitting and occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close distance color and peripheral vision.
  • Exposure to stressful environments and travel to client homes.
  • Requires operation of office equipment with repetitive hand movements.
