Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel-Hertford County is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Maintenance Mechanic. The successful candidate will coordinate housekeeping/safety efforts be part of a team that performs maintenance on repairs and improves the equipment at Nucor Steel-Hertford County as well as supporting the overall operation of the steel making process. Must be willing to work rotating shifts. Must be willing to work rotating shifts.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of heavy industrial maintenance experience or relevant technical degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 or more years of heavy industrial millwright experience
- AWS Certified Welder
- 2- or 4-year engineering or technical degree
