Job Description

Reporting to the Manager of Network Services theNetwork Architectwill be responsible for leading the Network Architecture in the Network Services group. The primary function of this role is to set the direction structure and strategy for the Westinghouse network globally. This role is both strategic and tactical in nature. You will provide guidance for future solutions and overall network strategy architect and design new projects modernize refreshed equipment and ensure proper documentation on the existing network.
Your Day To Day
Develop and design network architecture using a number of different technologies.
Establish and maintain the ongoing network strategy and standards for Westinghouse balancing a variety of dimensions such as cost buisness need technological capabilities and industry best practices.
Analyze business requirements to develop and deliver technical network solutions.
Perform network modeling analysis and planning including analysis of capacity needs for network infrastructures.
Ensure a secure and stable network environment by overseeing the regular monitoring and maintenance of networks.
Provide high-level technical support for our platforms and solutions.
Document network issues and provide business case or solutions to management.
Ensure network compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
Mentor and coach junior members of the team.
Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure the smooth operation of network infrastructure.
Have a look ahead attitude in developing solutions.
Performing any other related duties prioritized by the Network Services Manager.
Who You Are
Bachelors degree in network engineering or related Information Technology degree
Demonstrated experience in implementing new network technologies and establishing network and/or infrastructure strategies.
Experience in a complex global engineering or manufacturing organization.
High level of understanding in the network telecom and firewall fields
10 years working with network and telecommunications technologies.
5 years integrating different infrastructure technologies.
5 years of infrastructure architecture/design.
Proficient in Arista switches and Cloud Vision Portal Cisco routers and switches Nexus switches Python SolarWinds network configuration manager (NCM) Aruba Clear Pass Policy Manager Cisco Prime/DNA Cisco/Arista Wireless Cisco SDWAN are all preferred.
CCNP or CCIE Professional certification or Arista equivalent a plus
