Job Purpose and Impact

The Corporate Governance Paralegal will perform a variety of law related tasks under the direction of the organizations attorneys. In this role you will conduct moderately complex legal research draft legal documents and perform other related duties.

Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct research using traditional and nontraditional data sources with some autonomy to create solutions and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and maintain files databases and systems to collect store and retrieve data on subsidiary management Know Your Customer (KYC) requests entity filings signing authority etc.
  • Prepare legal forms and templates perform account management tasks using stock management software and respond to requests from shareholders and trustees under limited supervision
  • Coordinate and monitor progress for higher risk corporate governance processes.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Paralegal Certificate
  • Experience executing stock transactions and performing equity management activities.
  • Prior corporate governance legal or related experience particularly in a global organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products: Word Excel SharePoint PowerPoint OneNote etc.
  • Experience using GEMS or other entity management software tools.
  • Experience administering equity management software tools.
  • Understanding of Know Your Customer (KYC) requests.

Compensation Information

The expected salary for this position is $60000-90000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location certifications education and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
