Schedule: Full-Time Eastern Standard Time (EST) Hours Required
Overview:
Were working with a reputable lender seeking an experienced DE VA Underwriter to join their team. This position is fully remote but candidates must be available to work standard Eastern Time hours. Unfortunately this lender is not registered to have employees in the state of California.
Key Requirements (Must-Have):
Must have actively underwritten and signed off loans using both DE CHUMS ID and VA LAPP/SAR designations within the past 11 months
Active DE CHUMS ID and VA LAPP/SAR credentials
Must reside in a U.S. state other than California (client is not registered to employ in California)
Must be able to work a full-time Eastern Standard Time (EST) schedule
Preferred Experience:
203K underwriting experience is highly preferred
Responsibilities:
Underwrite VA and FHA loans in accordance with agency investor and company guidelines
Review and clear conditions; issue final loan approvals using DE and VA credentials
Analyze credit income asset and collateral documentation to determine risk and loan eligibility
Ensure underwriting decisions meet compliance quality and timeline standards
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve loan issues and support successful closings
Stay up to date on all regulatory changes agency updates and internal policy shifts
