DST is looking for Imaging Specialist.This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) withState Benefits including health insurance paid vacation paid sick time paid holidays as well as retirement.
About Us:
The Retirement Systems Divisionadministers the statutory retirement and fringe benefit plans as authorized by the General Assembly of North Carolina. These include the following six major retirement plans: Teachers and State Employees Retirement System the Legislative Retirement System the Local Government Employees Retirement Program the Consolidated Judicial Retirement System the Optional Retirement Program and Firemens and Rescue Squad Workers Pension Fund.The primary purpose of this position is to provide batch imaging for all work by prepping scanning and indexing records into IT systems for other divisional sections to process in an accurate and timely manner.
Job Duties:- Processes forms to create workflows for departmental benefits analysts.
- Codes all forms correctly and ensures accuracy for forms used by each respective section with Operations and Member Services.
- Preps and indexes all forms for electronic files labels anddatestamps and ensures legibility.
- Receives some inaccurate forms from other analysts; re-indexes for correct demographic information member ID or social security number.
- Processes return forms coming from retirees with disability and decreased members; forward to the financial operations division.
Batched documentsare sortedand scanned correctly to ensure the accuracy of forms for other division employees.
Processes documents in a timely manner so other employees can provide the required services for RetirementSystem members.
Annotates journal in ORBIT; generates ad-hoc correspondence; notifies employers to retrieve the appropriate information and forms.
Maintains knowledge of modifications in the procedural workflow.
Respond to other employees within the Division with information concerning indexing and location of various documents.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities / Competencies
Qualified applicants must possess and application must clearly reflect work experience that demonstrates the following: - Basic knowledge of organizational structure functions services programs office procedures.
- Basic knowledge interpreting guidelines answers inquiries and advises others regarding processes services and operations as applied to standard and non-standard situations
- Basic technical skills in varying software applications and systems for information and records purposes.
Management Preferences:
Intermediate level Microsoft Office Word and Excel skills.Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
