Bendigo Health is seeking Geriatric Medicine Advanced Trainees (ATs) for thetraining year. Positions are RACP-accredited. Regional training programs offered include; 1 or 2 year program with Bendigo Health; or a new 3 year program in partnership with Austin Healthwhere selected trainees who undertake a successful 1-2 years of training at Bendigo Health will have a guaranteed pre-match registrar role at Austin Health.
Each of the Bendigo Health appointed registrars will rotate through three of the following terms in the year:
GEM
Orthogeriatrics & Surgical Liaison
Geriatrics on Acute (includes Psychiatry and General Medicine consults)
Geriatrics in ED (assessment and liaison)
Community Geriatrics ()
Additional Information:
Term allocations tailored to individual training needs and organisational requirements
Supervision and support of junior staff (intern/HMO) expected
Weekly clinic participation(may include any of the following clinics:CDAMSGeneral Geriatric Medicine Geri-Connect Telehealth service Falls and BalanceContinence or theMovement Disorder Clinic from 2025)
Mandatory attendance at the fortnightly Victorian Geriatric Medicine Training Program and in-house training sessions
