Were looking for a Lead Early Childhood Teacher for our upper preschool room (children 3-4.5 years old) at our North location. The ideal candidate would have significant childcare experience CDA or a Montessori certification.

Primary Responsibilities:

Creates lesson plans that are balanced and appropriate to development levels
Document learning experience through displays and pictures
Maintains positive informal and formal communication with families on a daily basis
Maintains a safe comforting and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers
Facilitates and maintains childcare licensing standards
Friendly and a desire to work as a team in a rewarding fast-paced environment
Plans supervises and implements all/part of the program in accordance with the philosophy policies and procedures of DISCOVERY KIDZONE SCHOOLS.
Is responsible for developmentally appropriate weekly lesson plans rotation plans staff communication regarding individual plans & rotation and to post plans (or assure plans are posted) one week in advance for parents and staff.
Guides program Teachers and staff in maintaining facility supplies and materials to reduce waste/breakage/misuse. etc

An ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years experience as a teacher in a childcare center
Montessori certification or experience preferred
An AA in Early Childhood Education is preferred or a Level 3 on the MTECP Registry
Some leadership training and experience
Clear fingerprints for FBI DOJ and child abuse.

Base pay is determined by education and experience with the potential to earn performance bonuses of up to an additional $2 per hour as part of the compensation package.
