As a Senior Development Architect you will contribute to the definition and evolution of SAPs architecture strategy ensuring alignment with our AI-first and Suite-first product principles.

Join our dynamic team where you will work closely with cross-functional teams to work on reference implementations technical prototypes and architecture blueprints that influence SAP-wide decisions. You will play a key role in ensuring the scalability and quality of our future technologies and platforms critical to SAPs success.

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

• Contribute to the development and implementation of architectural patterns and best practices across product teams.

• Define and drive the architectural direction of cloud-native servicesand prototype new AI-enabled capabilities and platform services ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.

• Develop architecture guidelines and technical standards for the integration of AI capabilities into SAPs cloud solutions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop high-level architectural designs and ensure alignment with product goals and business objectives.

• Assess emerging technologies tools and platforms to recommend best practices for delivering AI-infused services at scale.

• Partner with fellow architects and development teams to review and improve development methodologies driving continuous improvements in delivery cycles and technical quality.

• Continuously learn and explore emerging AI and cloud-native technologies identifying their potential application on SAPs architecture.

• Collaborate closely with internal SAP teams on integration activities ensuring cohesive and successful implementation of cross-team architectural solutions.

YOUR PROFILE

• 5 years of experience in software engineering or architecture with a proven ability to design and deliver complex cloud-native systems.

• Bachelors Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.

• Proficient in at least two modern programming languages (e.g. Java Python Go JavaScript) with hands-on development experience.

• Strong foundation in microservices architecture containers and Kubernetes-based deployments.

• Solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services (AWS Azure or GCP) with experience in building scalable secure applications.

• Experience with SAP technologies BTP or enterprise integration landscapes or CloudFoundry.

• Familiarity with AI/ML integration including model consumption patterns MLOps basics or cloud-based AI services.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines DevOps tools and modern development practices.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex technical challenges.

• Effective communicator able to collaborate across teams and clearly articulate architectural decisions.

• Self-motivated curious about emerging technologies and comfortable working in distributed cross-functional environments.
